Adventure Activities

Adventure is a key component of many of our programs. Our activities are exciting, challenging, and lots of fun, and they are also educational. They teach you about yourself, and teach you how to work with others. The lessons you learn during your adventure experiences will serve you for life.

Fishing

Our 3/4 acre stocked pond and fishing pier provide the setting for hours of catch-and-release enjoyment.

Canoeing and Kayaking

Learn to safely paddle on our pond and feel the excitement of being on the water. These activities are the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation.

Hiking

Our mulched trails wind through the woods, and interpretive signs describe the tree and plant life found along the way.

Camping Skills

Learn essential skills such as how to set up a good campsite, pitch a tent, start a fire, cook in the outdoors, and use a map & compass. We teach Leave No Trace techniques to help minimize impact and promote responsible camping.

This is a high-tech scavenger hunt using a Global Positioning System (GPS) unit. Learn the basics of the sport, including how to mark and find a waypoint, and how to find a hidden cache. After one lesson you'll want to become part of the worldwide geocaching community. For more information log onto the official geocaching web site: www.geocaching.com.
